This year’s Wines of Chile Trade tasting is your opportunity to taste wines from the latest vintage, wines that are new to the market, as well as explore the different regions of Chile. Thirty wineries will be showcasing their wines, with some familiar faces alongside new wineries that are seeking UK distribution.

What you can expect at this year’s trade tasting?

Focus Table Themes

Unearth some delicious gems and to provide a snapshot to what’s on offer, you can taste wines from the free pour themed tables.

Chile Champions – Gold, Platinum, Trophy wines from 2023 International Wine Challenge, Decanter World Wine Awards, Drinks Business Masters & Cata D’or Chile 2022.

Southern Stars – A selection of wines from Chile’s Southern regions: Maule, Itata, Bío Bío, Malleco, Austral.

Carmenere Karma – Carmenere found its home in Chile, this themed table demonstrates how adaptable Carmenere can be whether single varietal or the main variety in a blend.

Classic Chile – This category is a reminder of how good traditional styles from Chile are, whether a Cabernet Sauvignon, Bordeaux blend or Chardonnay.

Masterclasses

Want to learn more about Chile and it’s wines, there will be two different masterclasses held during the day.

11:00 – Alistair Cooper MW has selected a range of 90+ points wines from the Alistair Cooper MW Wine Guide with Cata d’Or. Alistair will give an update on the current Chilean wine scene along with winemakers video presentations on their wines.

14:30 – Alistair Cooper MW will present a selection of wines where he will be joined the winemakers to discuss what to expect from this year’s vintage and how winemakers are adapting to climate change and their sustainable practices.
